Description
This resource is aimed at junior/middle pupils or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on literacy. It focuses on Christmas-themed sentence construction in a fun way. There are eight pages in the resource which should be laminated and cut up into 32 separate cards.
Pupils choose four different colour cards and put them together in the correct order to make the silly sentence. The colour-coded strips on the last page of the resource are to show pupils the order in which to place the cards in order to make the sentence – first yellow, then green, then orange and lastly blue.
When the pupil has constructed the sentence, they could be asked to read it aloud and/or to write it in their copy. There are numerous combinations of sentences that can be constructed using these cards.
