Description

This is a seasonal maths resource based on repeating patterns. The patterns use seasonal Christmas cupcakes. Pupils are asked to identify the pattern and extend it using the images provided.

Laminate all of the pages in the resource. Cut out the individual pattern cards as well as the small images on the final two pages. Affix Velcro to all of the empty boxes on the pattern cards as well as to the rear of the small images.

Place the correct four images that complete each pattern randomly on the bottom four squares on each pattern card. The pupil then has to select the correct image from these four images to continue the pattern.

There are twelve pattern cards for pupils to complete.
