These seasonal maths sentence builder activities, featuring Christmas stars, are suitable for younger pupils and special needs pupils who are starting on early number activities. It teaches left to right orientation, number recognition and addition. They deal with the addition of the numbers 0 to 3.

Pages 1-15 should be printed, laminated and velcro should be stuck in the blank boxes on the bottom table on each sheet. Pages 16-18 should be laminated, individual boxes should then be cut out and velcro attached to the back. These should then be attached to another blank, laminated sheet/s.

The pupil should be given one of the maths sentence builder sheets and asked to look at the maths sentence and to select the correct answer boxes. The pupil should stick these in the correct places and read the maths sentence from left to right. (I hope all this makes sense!)
