Description

Dolch words are a list of 220 “service words” developed in the 1940s by William Dolch. They consist of a series of sets of words which are considered to be vocabulary which occurs most frequently in children’s reading material. Although some of the words in the lists can be sounded out phonetically, they really should be memorised as “sight words”.

This resource contains flashcards of all 11 Dolch Word Lists with a seasonal theme. A different Christmas icon is used for each set of words. The sets 1-11 are in order as in the resource. The flashcards are designed four per A4 page and there are 55 pages of flashcards in the resource, 220 in all.

These flashcards could be cut out, laminated and used to create a seasonal Word Wall in the classroom.
