Bethlehemian Rhapsody

A Queen chart hit and the Nativity – what’s not to like about this song. This delightful parody written by Mark Bradford and directed by Darla Robinson tells the Christmas story in a new and totally unique way that will touch the hearts of generations to come. Lyrics are included on screen. This would go down a storm as a Christmas concert item!

Santa Claus Is Coming To Town Using Lámh Signs

If you have pupils with Special Educational Needs (SEN) in your school that use the Lámh Signs, it might be a good idea to teach this traditional Christmas song to all of the pupils in your class/school. Doing something like this with the whole class/school promotes inclusion and allows all pupils to learn some Lámh signs in a fun way.

3D Paper Snowflakes

I’ve seen these paper snowflakes done in school and they are really effective and look fantastic. They probably do need lots of adult supervision as they are quite fiddly and it’s very easy to make a mistake. Against the soundtrack of “One Day I’ll Fly Away”, Buster looks on as two foxes, a badger, a hedgehog and a squirrel enjoy bouncing on the trampoline.

3D Paper Snowflake

As it’s quite fiddly, this would be a visual arts lesson suitable for older pupils. It requires lots of folding, measuring and cutting skills – however, the end result would adorn any seasonal classroom.

3D Paper Christmas Tree

Definitely one for older pupils, but this would make a great visual arts lesson – creating a cool Christmas Tree using only one sheet of green A4 card.

Sock Snowman

This Sock Snowman would be a lovely visual arts lesson to do in the weeks leading up to Christmas or at any time during the winter months. It looks pretty straightforward, but then again …..!!
