Navigate the New Site

Navigate the New Website 01 Nollaig Shona is a blog-based site so it’s quite dynamic and the visitor will be able to view the site according to their searches. Because the site is blog-based, when you open up any of the categories (located at the top of the site) you will get a list of posts for that category. The latest posts added to the category will be at the top of the page and you can scroll through other related resources by clicking on “Older Entries” at the bottom of the page. To download the resource click on “Download File” or “Íoslódáil an Comhad”. You can open up a post by clicking on its title – when open you can make a comment on the resource.

Navigate the New Website 02Navigating the new site should be fairly easy for seasoned Seomra Ranga visitors as the site is broadly based on the same style as Seomra Ranga. The first way to find a resource is to type keywords of what you are looking for into the Search Box at the top of the site. A results page will be displayed giving suggestions of what you may be looking for. Secondly, you can search the site through the Categories near the top of the site. These are labelled, “Links”, “Music”, “Visual Arts” etc. When in an individual post, you will notice that the post has been assigned to a category or a number of categories at the bottom of the page. By clicking on any of these categories, you can view other posts in the same category. Similarly, each post has “Tags” which can be seen at the bottom of the post. By clicking on any of these tags, you can view posts which have similar tags, thereby creating a page in the site grouped by tag. While this may be a new experience for some visitors, it also means that viewing the site can be tailored by each individual visitor. You can also view resources that have been allocated to a particular class level – these are located in the menu bar on the right hand side of the website.

Finally, you can keep up to date with new developments on the site by following Seomra Ranga on Twitter, on Facebook or by subscribing to the site by email on the top right of the website.
