Bethlehemian Rhapsody

A Queen chart hit and the Nativity – what’s not to like about this song. This delightful parody written by Mark Bradford and directed by Darla Robinson tells the Christmas story in a new and totally unique way that will touch the hearts of generations to come. Lyrics are included on screen. This would go down a storm as a Christmas concert item!

Peeping SantasThis is a seasonal resource for junior pupils and SEN pupils. Pupils are required to cut out the Peeping Santas and arrange them in numerical order. Younger pupils could be required to only do numbers 1-5 and older pupils could do numbers 1-10.

Jingle Bells

This video, from the Super Simple Learning website, is great for teaching the words of Jingle Bells to younger pupils. It follows a “teach-it, learn-it” format and the tempo is much slower than the original song to make it easier for pupils to learn.

Pipes of Peace

This video is a song written by Paul Mc Cartney, one of the Beatles. It tells the true story of Christmas Day 1914 when the British and German troops lay down their weapons for the day, shared some food and played a game of football together. This could be used as a great introduction about war and conflict, especially at this time of year. It could also be used as a starting point for some creative writing.
