Number Puzzle 01
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior/middle classes or SEN pupils who are working on numbers. It is based on the consolidation of numbers in the range 15-24. The resource features six puzzles using a variety of Christmas images.
Laminate all of the pages in the resource and cut each one up into ten separate strips. Laminate another piece of A4 card. Adhere a long strip of velcro to the laminated card at the top and the bottom. Adhere a square of velcro to the top and bottom of each of the ten strips. The pupil then uses their knowledge of number order to position the strips correctly using the velcro to reconstruct the image.
Silly Christmas Sentences 01
This resource is aimed at junior/middle pupils or SEN pupils at the beginning of work on literacy. It focuses on Christmas-themed sentence construction in a fun way. There are eight pages in the resource which should be laminated and cut up into 32 separate cards. Pupils choose four cards and put them together in the correct order to make the silly sentence. The colour-coded strips on the last page of the resource are to show pupils the order in which to place the cards in order to make the sentence.
Christmas Food & Decorations Sorting
This resource is aimed at pupils in junior classes or pupils with speech and language difficulties. Categorisation is an important skill for younger/SEN pupils to develop. This resource aims to develop categorisation skills as well as to encourage oral language. This sorting activity focuses on Christmas Food and Decorations.
Pages 2-5 should be laminated. The small images on pages 4-5 should then be cut out. Velcro should be attached
Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!
This is a seasonal, fun literacy exercise for junior pupils, SEN pupils or those with literacy difficulties. Pupils have to fill in the gaps to complete the seasonal song, “Let It Snow! Let It Snow! Let It Snow!”.
Laminate both sheets in this resource. Cut out the five images on pages 2 and adhere them using Velcro to the five spaces at the bottom of page 1.
Christmas Bingo 02
Educational bingo games are a great way for pupils to learn so many different skills. They help with listening skills, visual discrimination, group work, turn taking and the reinforcement of the learning content of that particular bingo game.
This bingo game focuses on the theme of “Christmas” and it features typical Christmas images. It is aimed at a group of six pupils, so it would be useful for Station Teaching or for Aistear work on the theme of Christmas.

Rudolph The Red-Nosed Reindeer

Place Velcro in the other five spaces on pages 1 and 3. The pupil has to choose which of the images at the bottom of the page complete the song.
Christmas Cutting 05
Getting younger pupils used to handling a scissors and cutting lines or patterns is a useful activity for fine motor skills. Pupils with special educational needs may also need some extra practice with this activity. This seasonal resource requires pupils to cut out the Christmas-themed images and stick them into a copy.

Say It Think It 01
Pages 1-4 should be laminated. The small squares on pages 3-4 should then be cut out. Velcro should be attached to the squares on pages 1-2 and at the back of all cut out squares from pages 3-4. With a teacher/SNA working with a pupil, pages 1-2 are placed on the table.
